FIRS Tax Compliance Reminder
As a high-volume seller on BANA, you are required to register for and remit Value Added Tax (VAT) with the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS). Your cumulative annual GMV (₦8.6M) exceeds the VAT registration threshold of ₦25M/year. Please ensure you have a valid Tax Identification Number (TIN) uploaded in your seller dashboard. This is required for continued payout processing.

High Refund Rate Alert — June 2026
Your store's refund rate for June 2026 is currently 5.2%, which exceeds our acceptable threshold of 3%. High refund rates negatively impact your seller score and may result in listing restrictions. Common causes include inaccurate product descriptions, quality control issues, and delivery delays. Please review your recent refund reasons in the Finance section and take corrective action within 7 days.
Late Dispatch SLA Warning
Your average dispatch time for the past 30 days is 4.8 days, which exceeds the BANA standard of 2 business days. Slow dispatch directly reduces customer satisfaction and your store's search ranking. Please review your order processing workflow and ensure orders are dispatched within the committed timeframe. Sellers consistently missing SLA targets may have their listings deprioritised in search results.
Low Customer Rating Warning
Your store's average rating has dropped to 3.4 stars (down from 3.8 last month). This is below our minimum quality threshold of 4.0 stars. Low ratings will reduce your store's visibility in search results and may lead to account restrictions. We recommend responding to all negative reviews, improving product packaging, and ensuring product quality matches listing descriptions.
Multiple Customer Complaints Received
We have received 8 customer complaints about your store in the past 2 weeks. The complaints relate to: incorrect sizes sent (4), items not as described (3), and damaged packaging (1). Our trust & safety team is monitoring your account. Please address these issues immediately. If complaint rates do not improve within 14 days, we may restrict your selling privileges.
Expired Products Reported by Buyers
We have received 3 reports from buyers who received expired products from your store. Listing expired food products is a serious violation of BANA Seller Policy and applicable Nigerian consumer protection laws. All food listings must display accurate expiry dates and products must be dispatched with a minimum of 30 days remaining shelf life. Continued violations will result in permanent removal of your food listings.
Duplicate Product Listing Detected
Our system has detected 12 duplicate product listings in your store. Duplicate listings violate BANA marketplace rules and will be removed. Additionally, 3 of your listings appear to have inflated original prices to create misleading discount percentages. Please review and correct your listings within 48 hours to avoid further action.
Order Cancellation Rate Above Threshold
Your store's cancellation rate for May 2026 was 8.4%, significantly above our 5% threshold. Most cancellations were due to 'out of stock' after the order was placed. Please ensure your inventory is up to date at all times. Sellers with cancellation rates above 10% for two consecutive months will be placed on a Performance Improvement Plan.
Suspected Counterfeit Listing — Action Required
Buyer reports have flagged listing #P-2204 (Samsung Galaxy S24 FE — ₦180,000) as potentially counterfeit. The current market price for this item exceeds ₦580,000. Please provide original purchase receipts and proof of authenticity within 72 hours, or this listing will be permanently removed. Three verified counterfeit listings will result in permanent account suspension.
Unverified Product Claims Warning
Several of your skincare product listings make medical or health claims (e.g., 'cures acne', 'removes dark spots permanently', 'dermatologist approved') without providing supporting documentation. Under NAFDAC guidelines, such claims require clinical evidence or regulatory approval. Please update affected listings to remove unverified claims within 7 days or they will be removed by our moderation team.
